MUHAMMAD’S TEACHINGS TO MANKIND

ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ Zayd Abū-‘Ayyāsh asked Sa'd Ibn-Abī-Waqqāṣ about [purchasing] white barley with hulless barley (1). Sa'd asked, “Which one is superior?” Abū-‘Ayyāsh replied, “The white barely.” So Sa'd forbade that (2) and said, "I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, when asked about the purchase of dried dates with ripe dates, enquire from those around him, 'Do ripe dates decrease (in value or in weight) as they dry?' They replied, 'Yes!' So he forbade that (3)." Footnotes: (1) Two different varieties of barely. (2) i.e. the exchange of superior white grain (without the hulls) for inferior unthreshed grain. (3) i.e. the exchange of ripe dates for dried dates. ”

Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب صفة الجنة باب ما جاء فى صفة جماع أهل الجنة

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِىُّ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ الْقَطَّانِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنِ النَّبِىِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ يُعْطَى الْمُؤْمِنُ فِى الْجَنَّةِ قُوَّةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا مِنَ الْجِمَاعِ. قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوَ يُطِيقُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ يُعْطَى قُوَّةَ مِائَةٍ. وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عِمْرَانَ الْقَطَّانِ.

The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "In Paradise, the believer will be given such-and-such strength for conjugal relations." He was asked, "Messenger of God, will he really be capable of that?" He replied, "He will be given the strength of a hundred [men]." Click on ḥadīth to read more
